MARKETPLACE
Open House Furniture Sale - formerly belonging to Amb. Reginald Barthtolomew
Hello AICR members
A client of mine will be moving shortly from her Rome residence and hopes to sell the furniture inside.
Virtually everything from lamps to sofas will go. See below for items. Contact me to receive a pdf with descriptions (and links to photos) of the major items.
The client's residence was previously owned for many years by the beloved US Ambassador to Italy, Reginald Bartholomew (and past AICR Honorary President) and his wife Rose who I know were longtime friends of many of you reading this. Likely you have already been inside the apartment and are familiar with the furniture being sold which all originally belonged to the Bartolomews.
There are two "OPEN HOUSES" scheduled.
WHERE: Largo G. Toniolo, 20, between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona (next to the church of S. Luigi dei Francesi). Intercom Whalen/English
WHEN: Friday, January 19th (11am to 4pm); Saturday, January 20th, (11am to 4pm)
If those times don't work for you, send an email to dlenglish@aya.yale.edu and Dana can set up another time for you to come by.
HOW: Note that the residence at Largo Tonioli is on the 4th + 5th floors with a miniscule elevator so typical of Rome, is located inside the historic center ZTL AND inside (an unforgiving) vehicular barricade belonging to the Senate, therefore transport logistics are a consideration for removing and redelivering furniture. To minimize transport costs, my moving company will propose a customized "group participation service" option for the buyers (meaning 1xday w/ 1x truck + adequate crew to wrap/pack, load into truck, transport to each final delivery address, and unload into each residence). Cost of the "group participation service" would be divided up fairly among the purchasers, but clearly a customized service based on group participation would be the most economical solution possible.
Kindly RSVP directly to Dana
Please let me know if you need any additional clarification, and kindly pass tis on to anyone you think might be interested.
Warmly, Lori
